Casey Beal grew up in Middleburgh, NY. She attended Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, receiving a BFA in Jewelry/Metals/CAD-CAM and Teaching Certification in Art Education for grades K-12. Following college, Casey participated in a variety of Artist Coops, Galleries, and Art Shows while living in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New York. Following the birth of her daughter, Casey transitioned to painting as a way of remaining creative and productive during nap time. Casey then became Youth Program Planner for her town, teaching art and planting community gardens, which has greatly influenced her recent work. Casey and her young daughter currently live in Middleburgh, where she is the owner/operator of Casey Beal Designs. Casey is a current member of both Saratoga Arts and CREATE Council on the Arts. She was the recipient of a 2021 CREATE Individual Artist Community Arts Grant, has been voted Best in Show at Saratoga Arts Juried Art in the Park, received an Honorable Mention in the South Carolina Palmetto Hands Juried Fine Crafts Competition and Exhibition, a Lowcountry Quarterly Arts Grant from the City of Charleston in 2011, and a Creative Arts Research and Scholarships Grant in 2009 from Temple University.
