"As an artist I strive to create work that is relatable, as well as, accessible to a wide audience. Much of my work is derived from images captured on walks with my daughter, visits with old friends, and moments exploring my garden. My artistic practice employs the concept of survival through variation. Much like genetic variation improves the chances of survival of a species, variation in medium ensures the continuation of my personal voice. My work has a very physical quality; from the way in which images are collected, to the application of mediums, to how much of my work is created for wear and daily use. By being more grounded to nature, and sharing that connection visually with my community, I hope to instill a sense of appreciation, and desire in others, to protect a fleeting world."
